The interactive programme will explore what lies beneath the surface and reveal why healthy soil is essential for healthy trees and a pleasant urban environment. Through hands-on experiments, participants can measure soil pH, discover the fascinating world of soil microorganisms, and uncover the secrets of soil chromatography. They will also learn about innovative approaches to caring for urban greenery in České Budějovice and their role in the international CONE project.
The programme runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is particularly designed for secondary school students, while the public is warmly invited to join the exploration. Throughout the school year, visitors can also experience the soil-themed educational programme at OpenLab České Budějovice.
