Clim4Cast Successfully Completed – New Tools for Climate Risk Preparedness in Central Europe

Date: 29.07.2026
By: Clim4Cast

The project brought together partners from seven countries to improve climate risk monitoring, forecasting and decision-making. Its main achievement is the Clim4Cast Platform, which provides daily monitoring and nine-day forecasts of drought conditions, heat stress and wildfire risk, helping authorities, land managers and other stakeholders better anticipate climate-related hazards.

In addition to the Platform, the project delivered:

  • harmonised methods for monitoring and forecasting droughts, heatwaves and wildfires,
  • validated forecasting services based on pilot actions carried out across Central Europe,
  • seven National Action Plans supporting proactive management of climate extremes, and
  • a transnational framework promoting coordinated preparedness and cross-border cooperation.

The project’s results remain publicly available through the Clim4Cast Platform and will continue to support stakeholders in strengthening climate resilience and adapting to increasing climate extremes.

We would like to thank all project partners, Associated Partners and stakeholders for their valuable contributions throughout the project.
