A key part of FRW’s experience is cooperation with micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, including companies operating in manufacturing, services and local industry. Through financial instruments, advisory activities, regional initiatives and cooperation with public and private partners, FRW has built strong relationships with the local business environment and understands the challenges faced by companies in post-industrial and peripheral areas.
Within the INNOSKILLS-CE project, FRW is using this experience to support the mapping of SMEs, the identification of skills needs and the development of stronger links between vocational education and the labour market. As the Polish partner and coordinator of WP1, FRW plays an important role in collecting information from companies and schools, analysing competence gaps and supporting the preparation of a joint training strategy.
In Poland, the project focuses on the Wałbrzych region, an area with a strong industrial history and an ongoing need to develop modern technical and digital competences. FRW is working with local SMEs, vocational schools and regional institutions to better understand what skills are needed today and what competences will be important for companies in the near future.
This work is essential for the next stages of INNOSKILLS-CE. The information collected from companies and schools will help design practical training solutions, including AR/VR-based scenarios and LMS materials, so that young people can develop skills that are better aligned with real workplace needs.
