Our Hungarian partner Campden BRI Hungary organised an onsite training day in Budapest dedicated to sustainable and safe food packaging.
The event brought together several representatives of Hungarian food industry SMEs, with the aim of providing practical, immediately applicable knowledge to navigate a rapidly changing sector: from tightening environmental regulations (PPWR) to evolving consumer demands, without compromising product quality.
During the day, participants had the opportunity to hear a presentation by a Nébih expert on the regulatory framework for food contact materials (FCM), to receive an overview of the latest international packaging trends, and to attend a practical demonstration of sensory analysis for detecting potential interactions between packaging and food.
Finally, the D4PACKtool was presented, designed to support companies in the meat, dairy, fruit and vegetable sectors in selecting next-generation sustainable packaging materials.
A further step towards a more sustainable and competitive food supply chain, thanks to the collaboration between research, industry and regulatory authorities.
