Beyond the Finish Line: The Lasting Legacy of TASK4ISI

When a project ends, its story shouldn’t.

Imagine an aspiring entrepreneur with a promising business idea but limited access to mentoring, funding, or professional networks. Across Central Europe, many people from underrepresented groups face these challenges. Their ideas have the potential to create jobs, strengthen local economies, and drive social innovation – but only if the right support is in place.

This is the challenge that TASK4ISI set out to address.

Over the past three years, partners from six Central European countries have worked together to make entrepreneurship more inclusive by developing new tools, testing innovative approaches, and building stronger regional partnerships. While the project is now approaching its conclusion, its greatest achievement lies not only in what has been delivered, but in what will continue after the final project meeting.

A key part of this legacy is the network of Inclusive Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation Hubs (ISIHUBs). These hubs bring together public authorities, business support organisations, universities, social innovators, and entrepreneurs to collaborate on local solutions while remaining connected through a transnational network. By creating spaces for cooperation and knowledge exchange, TASK4ISI has laid the foundations for continued learning and future collaboration across Central Europe.

The project’s impact also lives on through the people it has supported. Entrepreneurs have gained new skills, received mentoring, and boosted confidence to develop their ideas, while regional organisations have strengthened their capacity to provide more inclusive business support. These skills and experiences do not disappear when a project ends – they continue to benefit future entrepreneurs and communities.

Equally important, TASK4ISI has worked to ensure that its results become part of long-term regional development. Strategic outputs such as regional action plans, practical toolkits, and policy recommendations provide a roadmap for public authorities and support organisations to continue promoting inclusive entrepreneurship well into the future.

Ultimately, the sustainability of TASK4ISI is not measured by the number of reports produced or meetings held. It is reflected in stronger partnerships, more resilient entrepreneurial ecosystems, and new opportunities for people whose potential might otherwise have remained untapped.

The project may be reaching its official conclusion, but its real legacy is only just beginning. Through lasting networks, shared knowledge, and a common commitment to inclusive entrepreneurship, TASK4ISI has created the conditions for its impact to continue growing – one entrepreneur, one partnership, and one new opportunity at a time.
