On June 10, 2026, the project workshop “Utilizing Residual Materials, Creating Added Value” took place at the Saxony University of Cooperative Education in Plauen, Germany. Organised by the Saxon State Ministry for the Environment and Agriculture alongside Wirtschaftsförderung Sachsen GmbH, the event focused on the intelligent use of by-product streams.

Representing the SYMCRAFT project, partners Umweltinstitut Leipzig e.V. and b&s GmbH took center stage during the roundtable sessions titled “Discovering, Discussing, and Developing Value Creation Potential.” They presented the project’s methodological framework, core approaches, and real-world practical examples, demonstrating how industrial waste can be successfully repurposed to drive the circular economy.
