Take naše, o.z. is a civic association active mainly in eastern Slovakia, focusing on regional development, community building and support for local people. Our ambition is to bring new ideas, create opportunities and highlight the potential of regions through people, stories, cooperation and concrete field-based activities. At the heart of our work are communities, municipalities, local actors and development initiatives that have a practical impact on quality of life in the region.
Our organization has experience in implementing local, cross-border and international projects. In the past, we have worked on activities focused on sustainable tourism, regional development, support for craftspeople, cooperation with local leaders, preparation of analyses, databases, communication plans and participatory documents. Our important activities include projects such as Discover Poloniny, Discover Bardejov, Discover Gemer, the Regions project and the cross-border project People for People.
Our expertise lies mainly in working with regions from the bottom up — identifying the needs of local communities, connecting stakeholders, facilitating cooperation and transforming local potential into concrete project activities. We are experienced in fieldwork, networking, data and information collection, preparation of expert inputs, communication with partners and organization of workshops, campaigns and events. An important part of our work is the ability to connect the public, non-profit, community and expert sectors.
In the BLUETWIN-CE project, Take naše, o.z. acts as the Slovak partner involved in the Svidník pilot area. Our role is to support cooperation with the town of Svidník, local institutions, health and social care actors, senior organizations and other stakeholders. We contribute to collecting local inputs, organizing consultations and connecting local actors so that the Blue Zones principles and Digital Twin approach can be practically used to improve health, quality of life and long-term vitality of people living in the region.
