On Thursday, April 23, 2026, the Baroque Town Hall in České Budějovice hosted this year’s General Assembly of SEMMO (Association of Energy Managers of Towns and Municipalities), bringing together representatives of cities and municipalities, as well as experts in energy management and climate-related projects.
The programme featured expert presentations, the sharing of practical experience, and discussions on current challenges in the field of sustainable developmen and nature-based solutions (NbS).
The opening remarks were delivered by Jaroslav Klusák from SEMMO, followed by presentations from representatives of the České Budějovice City Municipality. Topics presented included strategies for a greener city and the EPC project focused on selected municipal buildings. Significant attention was also devoted to climate change adaptation through the CONE: Cities Of NaturE project, which was introduced to participants by the urban architect, Lenka Marcinová.
The programme also included the presentation and discussion of the SEMMO Annual Report for 2025, followed by an expert debate among association members. Participants additionally had the opportunity to join a guided tour of the historic Town Hall dating from 1727–1730. Evening networking continued during a joint dinner at a local restaurant.
