We are pleased to share that the REDU-CE-D pilot activities continued with the pilot visit dedicated to the rail transport sector!
On May 20, 2026, partners and stakeholders gathered in Trieste (Italy), hosted by Adriafer, for the REDU-CE-D pilot testing visit focused on rail transport infrastructure.
The visit represented an important opportunity to present and discuss the implementation of customised Environmental Management System (EMS) solutions within the rail transport sector. As part of the REDU-CE-D project, pilot activities are designed to validate the effectiveness and transferability of EMS support packages developed to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption across key transport infrastructures in Central Europe.
During the pilot visit, participants exchanged knowledge and experiences regarding energy management practices, monitoring systems, and opportunities for improving sustainability within rail operations. Stakeholders and project partners explored how customised EMS tools can support more efficient operational processes and contribute to the broader objectives of energy transition in the transport sector.
The pilot visits organised within REDU-CE-D represent a crucial phase of the project, allowing partners to test solutions in real operational environments while collecting valuable feedback from stakeholders and transport operators.
The Trieste pilot follows the previous testing visits held in Budapest, Dubrovnik, and Krakow, further strengthening the project’s collaborative approach toward innovative and sustainable transport solutions in Central Europe.
