We are pleased to share that the REDU-CE-D pilot activities are continuing with the third pilot visit successfully carried out!

On May 14, 2026, partners and stakeholders gathered in Krakow (Poland), hosted by the Municipality of Krakow, for the pilot testing visit dedicated to the urban transport sector.

This pilot focuses on improving the energy efficiency of a bus terminal and Park & Ride (P+R) parking facility through the implementation of customised Environmental Management System (EMS) solutions. The pilot tests monitoring and analytical tools designed to assess electricity and heating consumption, identify inefficiencies, and support data-driven optimisation of public transport infrastructure.

During the visit, project partners and stakeholders had the opportunity to observe how EMS solutions can support more sustainable planning and operation of urban mobility infrastructure. Discussions focused on the practical application of monitoring tools, the management of energy-related data, and the development of guidelines transferable to similar facilities across European cities.

As part of the REDU-CE-D pilot phase, these visits play a key role in validating the effectiveness and replicability of the developed EMS support packages in real operational environments. They also provide an important opportunity to exchange knowledge, gather feedback, and strengthen cooperation among transport operators, authorities, and stakeholders across Central Europe.

The Krakow pilot represents another important milestone in the project’s journey toward more energy-efficient and sustainable transport systems.
