On 14 May 2026, the City of Szarvas used the start of the Tour de Hongrie cycling race as an opportunity to promote the PER-MOVE project and actively engage the local community in the project’s mobility survey.

The event brought together residents, visitors and cycling enthusiasts, creating an excellent setting to raise awareness about sustainable and inclusive mobility. At the PER-MOVE information point, project representatives presented the main objectives of the project and invited people to share their views on current mobility habits, needs and challenges in Szarvas.

The survey is an important part of the PER-MOVE project implementation. The collected data will support the analysis of the current mobility situation in the pilot areas and provide a basis for the preparation of local mobility plans. In Szarvas, the survey focuses in particular on local public transport, pedestrian conditions, cycling infrastructure and the potential for micromobility solutions.

By collecting feedback directly from residents and visitors, the City of Szarvas is ensuring that future mobility measures are based on real user needs and everyday experiences. The results will contribute to the development of more accessible, sustainable and environmentally friendly transport solutions for the local community.
