The session brought together 41 participants from across Europe and beyond, all currently reviewing the first draft of the CWA document on the RBE Assessment System: Climate Risk Evaluation at Building and Neighbourhood Scale.
The draft was presented by the chair, Andrea Moro from iisbe Italia, who introduced the methodological structure of the framework and its ambition to provide a common European reference for climate risk assessment in the built environment. The document builds on the RBE Method and the RNTool / RBTool frameworks developed through several Interreg projects (SuPeRBE and ReMED) and consolidated within the initiative.
A key aspect discussed during the meeting was the importance of translating climate adaptation objectives into operational assessment tools at neighbourhood and building scale, supporting more resilient planning and decision-making processes across Europe.
The meeting was moderated by Fabio Rossi from UNI, acting as secretary of the CEN workshop.
All participants are now going through the draft in detail and preparing comments and contributions ahead of the next meeting planned for mid-July. Looking forward to the next round of discussions and the collaborative development of this important European reference document on climate resilience in the built environment.
