The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS) holds a national series of ten training events on circular and green public procurement within the Interreg Central Europe project CE-PRINCE – Circular Economy Principles in Public Procurement.
The training programme is organised by the Chamber of Construction and Building Materials Industry (ZGIGM) and the Real Estate Business Chamber (ZPN).
The series takes place between March and June 2026 and targets two main stakeholder groups:
• public authorities and procurers responsible for public investments
• companies and suppliers participating in public procurement procedures
The training events aim to strengthen practical knowledge on integrating circular economy principles, sustainability criteria and life-cycle thinking into procurement processes, particularly in the construction sector.
The programme includes ten thematic events:

17 March 2026 – Structuring tenders with circular and sustainable criteria
1 April 2026 – Experiences of public procurers in implementing circular criteria in construction
15 April 2026 – Systematic integration of circular criteria into public construction tenders
6 May 2026 – Communicating the impacts of circular public procurement
28 May 2026 – Monitoring circular procurement impacts: indicators for low-carbon buildings
Trainings for companies (WP3)
14 May 2026 – Introduction to circular and green public procurement
20 May 2026 – LCA, EPD and legal obligations for circular construction products
3 June 2026 – ESG, DNSH and financing of circular projects
10 June 2026 – Documentation and compliance requirements for GPP tenders
17 June 2026- Final matchmaking event connecting companies and public procurers
The training programme supports the implementation of circular economy principles in construction and public investments, contributing to more sustainable procurement practices across Central Europe.
The events are organised in cooperation with Potočnik & Partners Law Firm, providing legal expertise on public procurement regulations and sustainable criteria.
Participation in all training events is free of charge, as they are co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg Central Europe programme.
Through these activities, CCIS contributes to strengthening collaboration between public authorities and companies and supports the transition towards low-carbon construction and circular economy implementation in the region.
