On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, Workshop How to revitalize municipal buildings and public spaces took place at the Sokol House in Olešnice, Czech Republic (in Czech). Workshop is the part of activities of the project LIFE ClimArchiBase.
In cooperation with the MAS Sdružení růže and the management of the municipality of Olešnice, foundation Partnership has created a practical workshop focused on what municipalities are currently dealing with the most – heat and drought in the municipality, public space, municipal buildings and energy, water and financing. The aim was to learn specific procedures, checklists and inspiration from implementations of similar projects.
Workshop also presented specific examples of good practice. These include, for example, the construction of a new kindergarten in Olešnice. Urban architect Lenka Marcinová presents the revitalization of greenery around KD Vltava in České Budějovice. This revitalization is a Pilot Action of the Project CONE.
Workshop participants extensively discussed the topics raised, focusing on nature-based solutions (NbS) and interdisciplinary collaboration across target groups.
