On 22 April 2026, the European D4PACK project is organising the Transnational Online Hackathon, a collaborative day where university students and young professionals will work together on the theme of sustainable packaging.
During the event, teams will use the D4PACKtool, the new decision-making tool developed by the project partners to analyse the adoption of new packaging solutions and create a digital story about the green transition that companies are undertaking.
The teams will be composed of 4–5 members with different backgrounds (packaging, food technologies, design, communication or similar areas of specialisation) and encouraged to create digital communication content such as digital mockups, interactive templates, visual dashboards and other tools.
A jury of experts will evaluate the best project, and the selected team will have the opportunity to present a pitch at the final D4PACK conference to be held in Verona on 27 October.
