GO4FAIR MOVE project launched at the Kick-off Meeting in Ferrara

Date: 10.03.2026

The GO4FAIR MOVE project officially started with a successful kick-off meeting held in Ferrara on 5–6 March 2026. After two productive days of discussions, presentations, and planning sessions, project partners have now returned to their home countries and have already begun the intensive work ahead.

The meeting opened with a welcome by the Lead Partner, the Province of Ferrara, followed by the introduction of all project partners. Each partner organisation presented its institution and role in the project, helping to establish a common understanding of the consortium’s expertise and expectations for the upcoming collaboration.

Representative of the Interreg Central Europe Joint Secretariat provided an overview of programme processes, including the steps completed so far during project preparation, the remaining conditions to be fulfilled, and the next milestones. The session also clarified the governance structure of the project, including the composition and roles of the Steering Committee and Working Groups, as well as the specific responsibilities of each partner organisation.

A central part of the first day focused on the overall content and objectives of the GO4FAIR MOVE project. Partners discussed the project work plan, the Internal Project Management Manual, and the Monitoring Plan, ensuring that all partners share a common understanding of the project implementation framework.

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to the pilot projects, which represent a key element of the project’s activities. During an interactive brainstorming session, partners explored how the pilot actions will be implemented in different territories. The session included a best practice presentation from Ferrara’s Mobility Agency (AMI Ferrara) and discussions on the joint implementation of pilot activities in Basso Ferrarese (led by the Province of Ferrara), Varaždin (led by DAN), and the Bielsko District (led by BD and ARRSA).

Communication and dissemination were also discussed, including the preparation of the Project Communication Plan, the proposed visual identity of the project, and the communication responsibilities of the partners.

The second day of the meeting focused primarily on financial management. Partners received detailed guidance on financial rules, eligibility criteria, reporting procedures at both partner and project levels, financial planning, and public procurement requirements. The Partnership Agreement was also formally approved by the legal representatives of the partner organisations.

The meeting concluded with a summary of the main outcomes and upcoming deadlines, followed by closing remarks from the Lead Partner. Additional time was also provided for individual discussions with project partners to address specific questions related to implementation.

With the kick-off meeting successfully completed, the GO4FAIR MOVE partnership has now entered the implementation phase, and partners have already started working on the first project activities.
