We were pleased to take part in the 2nd LEEAN-CET Partner and Steering Committee Meeting, held at the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar (EIHP) in Zagreb, where project partners gathered to review progress and discuss the next steps in implementing local energy efficiency actions.
During the meeting, partners from Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia and Ukraine exchanged updates on the implementation of Energy Efficiency Actions (EEAs) in pilot countries, addressing current challenges and opportunities for strengthening institutional capacities, civil engagement, and communication activities.
A special contribution to the meeting was made by our colleague Ivona Prar, who presented the SuPeRBE project and introduced a climate risk assessment tool for cities and municipalities that is currently under development. The tool aims to support local governments in identifying and managing climate risks, strengthening their capacity for informed and resilient planning.
The presentation also opened the discussion on potential collaboration between LEEAN-CET and SuPeRBE, particularly regarding the possibility of adapting the climate risk assessment tool for LEEAN-CET pilot regions.
We are glad to see growing interest in practical tools that help cities and municipalities better prepare for climate challenges and support the transition toward more resilient communities.
We look forward to further cooperation and the continued development of solutions that empower local authorities across Europe.
