Transnational Learning Camps Foster Synergies for Green and Digital Transition

Within the framework of GREENE 4.0, a two-day Transnational Learning Camp was organised, bringing together stakeholders from project regions and representatives of several synergic projects from the Central Europe (CE) region. The event focused on exploring synergies, shared challenges, and opportunities for future collaboration, with particular attention given to the B2GreenHub platform as a common support mechanism for accelerating the green and digital (twin) transition of manufacturing companies and regional ecosystems. Across both days, participating projects presented their approaches, tools, and experiences related to green technologies, digitalisation, circular economy, artificial intelligence, skills development, and regional cooperation. The discussions highlighted strong potential for cross-project collaboration, knowledge exchange, and alignment of services offered through the B2GH platform. Presented projects included:

A comprehensive support network providing manufacturing companies with the tools and expertise to accelerate their twin (green and digital) transition.

  • Harmonissions (speaker: Karolina Kosjek)

It focuses on aligning regional climate-neutral missions to ensure synchronized environmental actions across different European territories.

  • Cracowi (speaker: Katja Mohar Bastar)

This initiative implements circular economy business models specifically tailored for urban resource management and industrial cooperation.

  • AI4Green (speaker: Joachim Pfuhl)

The project develops AI-driven solutions to optimize energy efficiency and minimize the ecological footprint of industrial operations.

  • Smart Circuit (spekaer: Agnieszka Włodarczy k-Gębik)

It connects digital innovation with circularity to promote sustainable product design and material reuse in the manufacturing sector.

  • GREEN – SMARTMED (speaker: Carlo Mondani Eda Ipek)

An educational and regional development project aimed at building skills for the management of smart, green urban ecosystems.

  • EDIH CTU (speaker: Martin Holý)

The European Digital Innovation Hub at CTU offers “test before invest” services and digital expertise to SMEs and public organizations.

  • AI-MATTERS (spekaer: Ondřej Beránek)

A pan-European network of testing and experimentation facilities (TEFs) designed to validate AI and robotics solutions for the manufacturing industry.

  • Green Future of the Border Region (speaker: Bastian Hothas)

This project develops cross-border strategies for climate neutrality and sustainable environmental development in neighboring regions.

  • BESOGREAT (speaker: Sandra Schulnig)

It empowers social enterprises to lead the green and digital transition through innovative business models and regional cooperation.

  • Net4Digi (speaker: William Verner)

A collaborative network focused on accelerating digital transformation and enhancing digital skills within regional ecosystems.

  • StoreMore (spekaer: Marek Hart)

This initiative explores advanced energy storage solutions to increase the efficiency and reliability of local renewable energy grids.

  • COEUS (speaker: Denis Eisner)

It bridges the gap between high-tech research and industry by implementing AI-driven solutions and smart manufacturing processes.

  • CircSyst (spekaer: Eszter Balogh- Tanka)

The project implements circular economy systems to minimize industrial waste and optimize resource cycles in production.

  • Cirevalk (speaker: Eszter Balogh- Tanka)

It focuses on evaluating and enhancing circular value chains to boost both regional competitiveness and environmental sustainability.

Throughout the event, we identified key synergies between the projects and generated new ideas on how closer collaboration can support companies on their green and digital transformation journey.
The Learning Camps confirmed the importance of joint action and platform-based cooperation in supporting SMEs, public organisations, and regional stakeholders on their path towards a more sustainable, digital, and circular future.
