Hyvolution Paris 2026 — A New Milestone in the Hydrogen Transition

Hyvolution Paris 2026 took place at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from 27 to 29 January 2026. The event marked the tenth anniversary of the international hydrogen exhibition and conference.

It brought together technology providers, project developers, industrial users, public authorities, researchers, investors and hydrogen associations.

Main themes

The programme covered six broad areas of the hydrogen ecosystem, including:

  • hydrogen production and related technologies;
  • storage, transport and distribution;
  • industrial applications;
  • hydrogen mobility;
  • hydrogen in integrated energy systems;
  • territorial hydrogen initiatives;
  • skills and workforce development; and
  • policy, financing and investment.

Round tables, masterclasses, workshops and case studies examined the barriers affecting the transition from project concepts to operational hydrogen markets.

Practical relevance

The discussions reflected several challenges also identified by H2CE:

  • production needed to be connected with credible demand;
  • infrastructure and end-use had to be coordinated;
  • high costs and investment risks continued to affect deployment;
  • stable public policy and support mechanisms were important;
  • industrial applications required long planning and investment cycles; and
  • regional hydrogen ecosystems needed cooperation between public authorities and private actors.

Value for regional authorities

Hyvolution demonstrated that regional hydrogen strategies should connect territorial planning with actual market development.

Public authorities needed to understand which projects were technically possible, which had viable users and which required coordinated infrastructure or policy support.
