On 14 November 2025, the City Municipality of Kranj hosted an event dedicated to Slovenski trg, the pilot location of the CICADA4CE project. An expert from the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage opened the meeting with an engaging presentation on the historical development of the square, tracing its evolution from its origins to its current form. Participants were particularly intrigued to learn that the area once featured a park with a double row of trees.
The session continued with the presentation of four design variants for adapting the site to climate change. The event brought together municipal staff working in spatial planning, public space management, transport, green transition, and municipal investments, along with representatives of the cultural heritage authority. After reviewing the proposed options, participants took part in a vote to select the solution they considered most appropriate for the site and its specific characteristics.
