This year’s forum focused on innovative technologies, funding opportunities, and practical approaches to achieving a sustainable and efficient heat transition. Participants shared valuable experiences, including the establishment of bioenergy communities and the implementation of the first project for heat recovery from a sewage treatment plant in Thuringia.
The conference programme included presentations on the prospects and current developments for district heating in Germany and Thuringia, the role of large heat pumps, CO₂ networks as an alternative to water, wastewater heat utilization, and strategies to lower media temperatures in heat networks.
Speakers from Prognos AG, TWS GmbH, AGFW, Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck GmbH, Stadtwerke Schmölln, and Bioenergie Werratal eG contributed their expertise, offering insights into current challenges and opportunities in the regional and national heat transition.
