H2CE Launched Its Collaboration Platform for Regional Hydrogen Planning

Date: 31.10.2025
By: H2CE

H2CE launched its Collaboration Platform to make project knowledge, tools and regional experience accessible beyond the partnership.

The platform supported public authorities and other stakeholders involved in planning and implementing hydrogen-ready regional energy systems.

What the platform provided

The digital platform brought together:

  • H2CE planning tools and methodologies;
  • regional strategies and experience;
  • good practices from participating regions;
  • guidance for hydrogen-related decision-making;
  • capacity-building and learning resources;
  • information on relevant initiatives; and
  • opportunities for knowledge exchange and cooperation.

Who could use it

The platform connected:

  • regional and local public authorities;
  • policymakers;
  • energy agencies and utilities;
  • businesses and industry representatives;
  • researchers and educational institutions;
  • project developers; and
  • innovation and support organisations.

Practical value

The platform helped users find project results without having to follow the full history of H2CE implementation.

It also provided a digital basis for continued cooperation through the Network of Hydrogen-Ready Regions. This supported peer learning, expert exchange and the transfer of tested approaches between different regional contexts.

Long-term role

H2CE developed the platform as a lasting project output rather than a temporary communication channel.

After project closure, it continued to provide access to the partnership’s strategic resources and helped preserve the knowledge created through three years of regional analysis, tool development, testing and transnational cooperation.
