Agri-Digital Growth will take Agrilevante 2025 by Eima, the flagship Mediterranean exhibition in Bari dedicated to machinery, systems and technologies for agriculture. With more than 350 exhibiting companies and an expected attendance of over 90,000 operators from some 60 countries, the exhibition offers a comprehensive panorama of innovations spanning soil preparation, irrigation, mechanization, crop protection, harvest, and first-stage processing—especially in the context of Mediterranean and specialized crops.
Agrilevante is conceived as a strategic “hub” for Mediterranean agriculture, facilitating knowledge exchange, policy dialogue and international cooperation. In 2025, new sections such as REAL, dedicated to robotics and advanced automation, and Levante Green, focused on green-care machinery, will coexist with the traditional sectors. The event also includes a revamped technical innovations competition, and sections dedicated to robotics and green-care machinery.
On 9 October 2025 at 9:30am CREA-VE (the Viticulture unit of CREA, Italy’s Research Centre for Agriculture and Economics) will present a dedicated workshop on “Precision viticulture: the CREA-VE experience between case studies and future prospects”. This session will highlight CREA-VE’s recent and ongoing work in digital viticulture, drawing on several key projects aimed at bridging the gap between advanced sensing, data science, and operational vineyard decisions.
Among various projects, AGRI DIGITAL GROWTH will highlght its strategy in investing in human and institutional capacities in the digital agriculture, it ensures that innovations developed and effectively adopted. The project’s emphasis on interdisciplinary skills—from cybersecurity to robotics—positions CREA as a key facilitator of the digital transition in agriculture. The workshop will thus reflect on deployment challenges, Living Labs testing, and training frameworks.
CREA’s role in this context is twofold. First, as a leading public research organization in Italy, CREA (and specifically CREA-VE) bridges fundamental innovation and application in viticulture. Second, CREA fosters the diffusion of digital literacy and institutional readiness among agricultural stakeholders.
The workshop agenda includes presentations on also other CREA-VE viticulture projects: AGRARSENSE, VIVIS, EYE ON VINE, POTA.RAZIO, SISOVI. While each project focuses on a specific technological dimension—from sensors and AI to robotics, decision support platforms, and skills development—they all share a common goal: to drive the digital transformation of viticulture. By harnessing advanced data collection and analysis, these initiatives enable more precise, sustainable, and resilient vineyard management, quipping farmers with the skills needed to fully exploit digital innovations.
