The event gathered 15 representatives from key institutions, including Krakow City Hall, Małopolska Marshal’s Office, Krakow Technology Park, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Regional Development Agency, Sustainable Infrastructure Cluster, and the European Funds Unit, among others.
Janusz Kahl, CEO of SPC, presented the CURIOST project in detail, outlining how it supports SMEs in mechanics and mechatronics, plastics, packaging, and construction to adopt sustainable product strategies and circular practices. Project Manager Urszula Kwaśniewska shared insights from interviews and SWOT analyses conducted with local companies to assess readiness for circular transformation.
Representatives from Krakow Technology Park introduced the 6R model of circular economy—Repair, Recycle, Reuse, Reduce, Rethink, Refuse—providing a practical framework for local businesses.
The discussion highlighted how institutional partners can coordinate efforts to reach the most promising companies, avoid duplication, and improve information platforms to facilitate engagement. The collaboration aims to target 20 companies open to project cooperation by September 2025, accelerating sustainable development across the Małopolska region.
