On 27th May 2025, ECOLE, lead partner of the REUSE2030 project, took part in the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE programme conference From Results to Impact: Cooperation Takes Synergies Forward”, held in Vienna. The event brought together hundreds of stakeholders in European territorial cooperation to share project results, explore synergies, and prepare for the upcoming strategic call for capitalisation, which will open in autumn 2025.

The day featured plenary sessions, thematic workshops, and dynamic networking opportunities. Discussions focused on key challenges and priorities for the regions of Central Europe, including innovation and smart skills, the climate-neutral energy transition, climate change resilience, and the advancement of circular economy models. The shared objective was clear: transform existing results into lasting impact by strengthening cross-border collaboration.

Within the thematic workshop Taking Circular Economy Forward, ECOLE presented the REUSE2030 project and its key outputs aimed at fostering circularity in the mechanical sector. Specifically, two digital tools were highlighted for their potential to be capitalised and scaled:

  • Digital Circular Inventory: a digital platform that enables companies to identify and adopt sustainable solutions across their value chain, supporting circular design and resource efficiency;
  • Zero Carbon Toolkit: a practical set of tools to support businesses in calculating and reducing their carbon footprint, facilitating the integration of climate-conscious practices into daily operations.

These outputs were developed to respond to the needs of SMEs and industrial actors facing the challenge of transitioning towards more sustainable production models. The tools are flexible and adaptable, and the REUSE2030 team emphasised their potential to be transferred or extended to other key sectors such as electronics, packaging, and transport.

Our participation in the Vienna conference was an important opportunity to showcase the REUSE2030 results, strengthen transnational synergies, and lay the groundwork for future initiatives under the next capitalisation call.
