On 7 and 8 May 2025, the Austrian Future Food Connective Innovation Hub took part in the 18th Research Forum of Austrian Universities of Applied Sciences, hosted at FH Campus Vienna. Under the conference theme “Doing Research – Shaping the Future”, the Innovation Hub was represented by David Strauß from UAS BFI Vienna, who presented the talk “Sustainable Local Food Supply through Alternative Food Networks – Comparing Business Models in Five European Countries.”

This contribution highlighted how the Austrian Innovation Hub, established by UAS BFI Vienna, worked to strengthen stakeholder networks and promote sustainable innovation by comparing practical solutions and best practices across Europe. The event offered an opportunity to connect with key actors in research and applied science and to further the goals of the Food4CE project.

The Austrian Innovation Hub was also present at the Austrian Future Fit Festival, which took place across Vienna from 22 April to 10 June. The festival invited the public to explore the future of careers in technology, climate, sustainability, social affairs, and health. It provided a valuable opportunity for the Innovation Hub to engage with the Viennese public and promote the activities of the Food4CE project.
