We have actively engaged with the textile and engineering sectors, focusing on integrating sustainable practices and promoting circular economy principles. The event successfully attracted industry professionals, sustainability experts, and craftsmen, creating a collaborative environment for the exchange of ideas and innovations. Common obstacles identified included high initial costs of sustainability investments and a lack of awareness about available technologies. Future actions should aim to reduce financial barriers to sustainability and enhance awareness and education about cutting-edge technologies and practices. Our first local events highlighted the importance of mutual learning and networking. Participants were inspired to explore new solutions in their operations, demonstrating the value of collaborative knowledge sharing. Key insights included the transformation of waste into a resource, reducing costs and environmental impact, and the development of new networking opportunities between industries and craftsmen. Attendees left with actionable solutions and a renewed commitment to sustainability, aligning their operations with EU guidelines. The round table proved to be a significant platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences, showcasing the power of collaboration in driving innovation and addressing environmental challenges in the textile and engineering sectors. The SYMCRAFT project continues to play a critical role in fostering these discussions, paving the way for a more sustainable and interconnected future.
