The City of Zagreb and the North-West Croatia Regional Energy and Climate Agency organised the professional webinar “Hydrogen – A Driver of Sustainable Change” on 7 February 2025.
The hybrid event took place at ZG Forum in Zagreb and online. It brought together experts, researchers and stakeholders from Croatia and other countries.
Topics addressed
The webinar focused on:
- hydrogen’s potential contribution to the green transition;
- regional opportunities for hydrogen development;
- innovations in hydrogen technology and infrastructure;
- practical examples of hydrogen projects;
- development of regional hydrogen value chains; and
- cooperation between public authorities, research and industry.
Practical value
The event connected technical discussions with regional-development considerations. It highlighted that hydrogen deployment required more than technological solutions: regions also needed local expertise, coordinated stakeholders and viable links between production, infrastructure and demand.
The webinar contributed to H2CE’s capacity-building and knowledge-exchange activities. It also supported the project’s work on connecting regional actors and strengthening the expertise needed for hydrogen planning.
