H2CE partners held their third on-site partnership meeting in Italy on 20–21 November 2024.
The meeting combined workshops with a study visit and gave partners an opportunity to compare progress in developing hydrogen-ready regions.
Main outcomes
The programme supported:
- exchange of experience between participating regions;
- discussion of hydrogen-related regional challenges;
- cooperation between project partners and industry experts;
- examination of practical hydrogen developments in Italy; and
- identification of approaches that could inform work in other regions.
Practical value
The meeting strengthened cooperation within the partnership and helped participants connect regional planning work with practical industry experience.
The study visit also showed the value of direct exchange with organisations involved in hydrogen development. Such exchanges helped public authorities understand implementation conditions beyond strategic documents and technical models.
The meeting contributed to H2CE’s wider process of comparing regional approaches and transferring relevant lessons across central Europe. However, its principal value was internal project coordination and knowledge exchange rather than the creation of a standalone public output.
