On April 10, 2025, the Health Resort Radenci in Radenci, Slovenia, hosted a professional training event organised within the framework of the ICTr-CE project, organised by Iskriva and Westpannon. The session was primarily aimed at tourism service providers operating along the EuroVelo 13 – Iron Curtain Trail, with the goal of showcasing the opportunities of digitalisation and automation and their practical application in the tourism sector.

The event was opened by Máté Deák, Project Manager of the Westpannon team, who introduced the objectives and significance of the ICTr-CE project. Following this, Tamás Pálffy (ChromeSoft) gave a presentation on the latest digitalisation trends, smart tourism solutions, the responsible use of artificial intelligence, and new types of ticketing and card systems.

During the coffee break, participants had the opportunity to try out interactive VR tools, offering exciting insights into the practical use of technology in tourism.

In the afternoon session, Dóra Rosta and Eszter Varga (BackOffice+ Szombathely) presented various automation options and the benefits of process-based thinking. Through concrete examples, they demonstrated the potential of no-code tools and the Sales Autopilot system to provide proactive automation solutions, helping tourism enterprises operate more efficiently.

The training provided participants with valuable, hands-on knowledge and supported the competitiveness and modernisation of tourism services in the region.

A total of 45 participants, including 20 tourism service providers, attended the event. The training series will continue in May 2025 with another session, and the ICTr-CE mentoring programme will also be launched soon – applications from tourism businesses are still welcome!
