On 11 and 12 June 2025, the partners of the INACO project met in Dubrovnik, Croatia, to discuss ongoing activities, share updates and prepare for the next implementation steps. The meeting was hosted at the University of Dubrovnik and included participants from multiple Central European countries working together to protect cultural and natural heritage in river basin districts under increasing pressure from climate change.
The gathering opened with a guided tour of Dubrovnik’s iconic Old Town, offering an inspiring glimpse into the kind of heritage the project seeks to preserve. This immersive experience set the stage for the work ahead.
The core of the meeting focused on reviewing the progress of key project components:
-
Finalizing strategies for increasing the resilience of CNH sites
-
Setting up tools to assess vulnerability and manage climate-related risks
-
Coordinating communication and dissemination strategies to raise awareness and promote project results
In addition, partners aligned on financial reporting, communication deliverables. Special attention was given to ensuring that activities across all work packages are interconnected and coherent.
This meeting reinforced INACO’s collaborative spirit and its mission to provide actionable tools and strategies that can help preserve heritage sites while adapting to environmental pressures.
We thank all project partners for their dedication and thoughtful input and especially our hosts – Institute for the Restoration of Dubrovnik for their warm hospitality.
