This EU-level initiative aims to find new ways to effectively roll out and finance the European Green Deal at the local level. REGEA has presented the main findings from MESTRI-CE financing baselines and gap analysis reports, including the building sector’s key barriers and opportunities for innovative financing models. The local Alliance initiative is currently focusing on mapping the Structural Funds and discussing what works – what does not work – what possible scenarios for their future are, and what the Alliance can recommend to the European Commission.
REGEA was also invited to future events of the Local Alliance to share experiences using ESIF/RRF funds within MESTRI-CE piloting actions and main conclusions from the the Joint Strategy for enhancement of innovative green standards, financing models and schemes, which will be developed in 2025.
