The Kick-off meeting of the TeBiCE project was completed in Torun, Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship. During the October 11-12 event, the project partners established the first principles of cooperation and discussed the substantive scope of the upcoming work packages.
The meeting began with an open session for regional stakeholders interested in the project’s topics, including universities, an agricultural advisory center, business environment institutions, units and departments of the regional government. In addition to a general presentation of the project’s assumptions, each partner presented the profile of its activities and plans related to participation in the project consortium. Subsequent sessions of the meeting were devoted to issues of the potential for the use of by-products from primary production and the agri-food industry, and the identification of value chains for these products in each region. The event also saw the first meeting of the steering committee.
