We are pleased to introduce Petra Kurinčič, Project Manager at the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region (RRA LUR) and representative of the Regional Mobility Center of the Ljubljana Urban Region (RCM LUR). The Regional Mobility Center of the Ljubljana Urban Region (RCM LUR) opened its doors on May 1, 2024, and operates under the auspices of the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region (RRA LUR). It is one of ten regional mobility centers in Slovenia that systematically and comprehensively regulates the implementation of professional tasks, activities, and promotion to encourage sustainable mobility (SM), contributing to its development at both the local and regional levels. The RCM is a tool for improving the state of sustainable mobility at the regional level and represents a non-infrastructural measure of sustainable mobility at the horizontal level. The operation of the RCM LUR contributes to the development of sustainable mobility in the region and ensures cooperation, the flow of knowledge and experience, and the expansion of activities to promote and plan sustainable mobility at the inter-municipal level, namely among all 25 municipalities that are part of the LUR. The activities of the RCM LUR focus on promoting sustainable mobility, improving the efficiency of public transport, supporting cycling, and integrated transport planning at the regional level.
