Meet our next key speaker at the PopUpUrbanSpaces Final Conference: Goran Završnik, Kamnik culture coordinator at Kamnik Public Institute for Culture and Cultural manager at Cultural association Priden možic.
The Priden možic Association was founded in 1996 and is a theater with a wide variety of street performances and installations in Slovenia. They offer large-scale spectacles, mature street comedies, socially critical installations, fire performances, and street experiments. They have participated in various festivals in Slovenia with our street performances and musical productions, and they have also performed in Croatia, Serbia, Peru, Spain, Macedonia, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.
The Priden možic Cultural Association manages the Kamnik Cultural Center and has also been the founder of the Kotlovnica Kamnik Youth Center since 2013. In 2003, the association organized the first Kamfest summer festival, modeled after Ljubljana’s Trnfest. After thirteen years, the festival is the largest in the wider region and attracts more than 35,000 visitors annually with over 100 events in 10 festival days! In recent years, they have also been dedicated to preserving industrial heritage, for which they received the Valvasor Award in May 2016, presented by the Slovenian Museum Association.
