On June 26, 2025, the city of Osijek hosted an important international meeting of the RE-PUBLIC SPACES project partners. Representatives from the cities of Osijek, Łódź, Velenje, and Pinerolo came together to share progress reports, present investment plans, and discuss strategies for engaging local communities through public consultations.
The morning sessions featured detailed presentations by city partners on the current status of their projects, including documentation, planned investments, and how the second stage of public consultations will be conducted to ensure active community involvement.
Following a short break, scientific partners from institutions such as PL, EIHP, LINKS, and UL presented updates on pilot site strategies and collaborative milestones achieved in cooperation with the cities.
The lead partner from Poland provided an overview of project management, reporting, monitoring, and outlined the timeline and activities planned for the upcoming project phase.
In the afternoon, participants explored Osijek’s courtyards on a guided city tour, allowing them to experience firsthand the public spaces that are central to the project’s revitalization efforts.
The meeting demonstrated strong international cooperation, innovation, and commitment to creating sustainable, inclusive, and engaging urban public spaces across Europe.
