In May 2025, Selina-Maria Schiller, Project Manager of Greene 4.0 at FH Kufstein Tirol – University of Applied Sciences, presented key insights and findings from the project at the 3rd Annual Conference of the Alliance for Sustainable Universities in Wieselburg, Austria.
Under the guiding theme “Sustainability meets Digitalization: Pathways for our Universities”, the event served as a valuable forum to highlight Greene 4.0, a project dedicated to fostering green and digital innovation in the manufacturing industry.
The presentation featured key findings from a quantitative survey, which shed light on the main challenges, opportunities, and recommended actions associated with the green and digital transition. These insights informed the development of the Greene 4.0 Assessment Tool (User Acceptance Model), which was also introduced during the session. In addition, early feedback from the first round of qualitative testing was shared, offering a deeper understanding of user needs and expectations.
The event highlighted the important role of universities in shaping sustainability and digital transformation through research and education, while also strengthening the link between academic work and real-world challenges.
