🌿 12 M. Sc. students and 4 tutors gathered in the City of Kranj – one of four pilot cities in the URBIO BAUHAUS project.
🌿 During the morning session, the group visited forested areas of future “city forests,” the urban city canyon of the Kokra River, and the Old Town, where measures to combat biodiversity decline are to be implemented.
In the afternoon, the project team of the City of Kranj presented the first steps of the URBIO BAUHAUS project and the fresh label, “Climate Neutral and Smart Cities Mission,” which emphasizes the importance of quality green infrastructure. The research methodology for designating forests with special purposes was also presented🌳
The exchange of opinions and past activities provided valuable insights from various areas of expertise.
🌿 Many thanks to Mojca Nastran from Biotecnical Faculty and Urša Erjavec from Visit Kranj!
As the final evaluation showed, the participants valued the workshop’s ability to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, professional skills, and different opinions.
The results of the workshop will be presented after the end of the semester at Biotechnical Faculty.
