On June 3rd, the ReBuilt project was represented at Non Tox Day – Materials Matter 2025, an international hybrid event dedicated to biobased construction materials and the future of healthy, sustainable building.

🔹 Dr. Alenka Mauko Pranjić, ReBuilt project partner, took part in a high-level round table discussion that explored how we can shift the building industry toward non-toxic, transparent and health-conscious solutions.

In a powerful reflection of the event’s ambition, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS) summarized the day with this statement:
🟡 “Slovenia becomes the European hub for non-toxic innovation in construction.”

Together with scientists, architects, policy-makers and builders, participants tackled difficult but essential questions:
❓ What do we breathe?
❓ What do we touch?
❓ What do we build into our lives?

In the roundtable,
— Prof. Dr. Sascha Peters spoke about materials that are already available,
— Dr. Andrej Kržan emphasized the need to translate innovation from lab to market,
— Dr. Mauko Pranjić addressed the importance of certification and regulation,
— Marina Zajec provided the architectural view,
— Primož Zorec from CoGreen grounded the conversation in practical building experience.

The discussion, moderated by Petra Marinko, highlighted how materials are not just technical, but cultural, systemic and deeply personal. The call was clear: we already have the knowledge and tools — now we need collaboration, transparency and a mindset shift.

Thank you to GZS and all the partners for making this event a space of meaningful exchange. We are proud that the ReBuilt project was part of it.
