On November 21, 2025, the community education center in Moravské Lieskové became a vibrant space of experimentation and creativity. Participants explored a transformative approach to design—one where the cut is conceived before the fabric itself, and where nearly every centimeter finds its meaningful place. The result was a powerful demonstration of how thoughtful design can turn limitation into opportunity.
Guided by professional expertise, participants developed new fashion models using innovative upcycling techniques, proving that sustainability and creativity can go hand in hand. The workshop was implemented in close cooperation with the Sustainable Fashion Laboratory (LUMó), part of the European Capital of Culture Trenčín 2026, and the Slovak Fashion Council.
Thanks to this collaboration, participants gained access to valuable materials—cuts, worksheets, and practical instructions—opening space for experimentation and the creation of new product prototypes that embody circular design principles.
The SYMCRAFT journey continues with the upcoming event Hidden Treasures of Our Companies, taking place on December 11, 2025, in Trenčín. This event aims to uncover new synergies between manufacturing companies and the creative industries, fostering collaboration that turns hidden potential into shared value.
