The SYMCRAFT project has identified strong alignment and collaboration opportunities with the Laboratory of Sustainable Fashion – LUMó HUB, an inspiring initiative developed within Trenčín 2026 – European Capital of Culture.
LUMó HUB connects the rich tradition of the local cultural and textile industry with a new generation of designers, bringing forward a shared vision of sustainability, circular economy, and innovation. As a creative space, it fosters collaboration between creators, experts, and businesses, while promoting new materials and responsible production processes.
This initiative, created in cooperation with the Slovak Fashion Council, serves as a dynamic platform for education, experimentation, and cross-sector dialogue. Its mission closely resonates with SYMCRAFT’s focus on innovation, skills development, and strengthening links between creative industries and manufacturing practice.
Together with the Section of Textile, Clothing, Leather and Footwear Industry at the Trenčín Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, this collaboration highlights a natural symbiosis—particularly in:

• Advancing education and knowledge exchange
• Connecting creative professionals with industrial practice
