The Regional Agency for Environmental Prevention and Protection of Veneto (ARPAV) took part in the 13th Annual Conference of the Italian Society for Climate Sciences (SISC), held in Salerno from October 22 to 24, 2025. ARPAV’s contribution focused on the joint presentation of the CliNE (Climate North-East) platform, developed in collaboration with ARPA FVG (Friuli Venezia Giulia). The CliNE platform is an advanced operational tool for the analysis and visualization of climate data. It integrates and provides access to both historical observed data and climate projection model outputs, thus offering a comprehensive view of the regional climate—past and future.
The presentation, delivered during the conference’s thematic session “Impacts, Responses, and Policies”, attracted considerable interest from an audience of about 50 participants, including researchers, university professors, representatives from national public agencies such as ISPRA, Agenzia ItaliaMeteo, and other regional ARPAs, as well as experts from the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC).
Attendees particularly appreciated two key aspects of the platform: its operational nature and its full public accessibility.
The CliNE platform will be integrated into the Data-Driven Dashboard of the Climate-CRICES project—explicitly mentioned during the presentation—to strengthen decision-making support for climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies at both regional and national levels.
Full accessibility to validated operational climate data, such as those provided by CliNE, is essential for transforming scientific research into concrete action.
