Advancing Cross-Border Trade for Local Producers
On 2 February, Ister Granum EGTC held its 3rd Regional Stakeholder Group (RSG) meeting in Štúrovo, bringing together key actors involved in supporting the cross-border sale of local products.
The meeting focused on a detailed review of the expert materials that form the foundation of the upcoming legal guide designed to help local producers navigate cross-border markets. Participants discussed legal, taxation, and food safety issues, while also sharing practical, hands-on experiences from their respective fields.
Representatives of local producers, market organisers, and municipalities took part in the discussion, alongside Hungarian and Slovak experts who are actively contributing to the development of the guide.
The exchange centred on practical usability, open questions, and opportunities for further clarification, with a shared goal: to create a clear, accessible, and truly useful tool that supports local producers in cross-border trade.
