🌲 RE-ENFORCE Policy Brief Available in Multiple Languages 🌍

The RE-ENFORCE Interreg Central Europe project has published its policy brief on
accelerating forest restoration in Central Europe through harmonisation of definitions, policies, and action plans — now available in multiple languages to support effective uptake across the region.

Forests in Central Europe are increasingly affected by storms, droughts, wildfires, and pest outbreaks, intensified by climate change. While EU restoration targets are ambitious, implementation remains fragmented and uneven, also due to inconsistent definitions, differing policy frameworks, and unaligned action plans across countries.

🔑 What the RE-ENFORCE policy brief addresses: • Harmonised definitions of forest degradation and restoration
• Better alignment of national policies and action plans
• Integration of climate adaptation into restoration strategies
• Comparable indicators to assess restoration success beyond tree cover

🌱 Why multilingual matters:
Making policy-relevant knowledge accessible in national languages is essential for implementation, stakeholder engagement, and cross-border cooperation across Central Europe.
