The event will bring together stakeholders from industry, policy, international organizations, finance, research, and development cooperation to discuss the role of hydrogen in advancing net-zero industrial development. The conference aims to encourage dialogue, knowledge exchange, and practical cooperation on how clean hydrogen can be applied in a way that is environmentally sustainable, socially responsible, and economically meaningful.
UNIDO’s Global Programme for Hydrogen in Industry was launched in 2021 with the support of the governments of Austria, Germany, and Italy. The programme supports a just hydrogen transition in developing countries, with a strong focus on social and environmental aspects. Its work addresses key areas such as policy, standards, skills, coordination, innovation, financing and investment, and green hydrogen clusters.
This conference offers an important platform to explore how hydrogen can help create new industrial opportunities, strengthen local value creation, mobilize investment, and support long-term industrial decarbonization. Participants will gain insights into current international developments, policy approaches, and cooperation opportunities that can help shape the future of sustainable industry.
