Held biennially since 1995, the conference has evolved significantly — from its early years as a touring event (1995–2009) to becoming a permanent gathering under the name VODA in 2011, reflecting CzWA’s broader focus on the entire water cycle. Since 2021, it has been hosted in Litomyšl, a location praised for its inspiring setting and cultural significance.
As part of the 2025 program, the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem (UJEP-PP9) will present a poster on Climate_CRICES, highlighting its contribution to regional climate adaptation.
The CzWA Conference features plenary lectures, technical sessions, interactive poster forums, and a day of technical and cultural excursions, offering a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange between researchers, practitioners, and policy makers. The event is held in collaboration with academic institutions and under the auspices of national authorities.
