Discover how European regions are shaping a fair and sustainable energy future at the final conference of the Interreg Central Europe JETforCE project, part of the Energy Transition Days, in Labin, Croatia. This event brings together policymakers, local and regional authorities, energy experts, and project partners to explore the Just Energy Transition in practice and to learn from the implementation of JETforCE pilot actions across Central Europe.

The conference programme will include:

  • Welcome speeches and a project overview highlighting the key achievements and results of the Interreg Central Europe JETforCE project
  • Two interactive panel discussions aligned with the Just Transition Mechanism, featuring regional representatives and energy experts
  • Networking opportunities during coffee breaks and lunch

Participants will also gain hands-on insight into JETforCE digital tools, including the Challenge Mapping Tool and the Technology Evaluation Tool, which support citizens and public authorities in inclusive and informed energy decision-making.

Please note that the conference will be held mainly in Croatian, with English interpretation provided.

Thematic session 1 – Room A

11.45 – 13.00 Panel discussion – Making the energy transition work for everyone: perspectives from policy and practice

This thematic session brings together invited experts and stakeholders from policy and practice to discuss how the energy transition can be effectively delivered in real-life contexts. The discussion will focus on policy frameworks, implementation challenges and practical experiences related to energy accessibility, affordability and inclusion. Particular attention will be given to translating strategic objectives into concrete actions that benefit citizens and local communities.

Thematic session 2 – Room B

11.45 – 13.00 Workshop – Sustainable mobility for the City of Labin

This interactive workshop presents concrete sustainable mobility solutions developed within the Interreg IT-HR SUMMA project. Participants will be introduced to the Public Transport Establishment Study for the City of Labin, as well as a conceptual solution for improving connectivity between Podlabin and the Old Town of Labin. The workshop encourages discussion on feasibility, local needs and implementation challenges, fostering exchange between planners, decision-makers and local stakeholders.
