On 7 January 2026, the NUTSHELL@CE partnership held a regional co-creation workshop in Ostrava focused on improving transport accessibility in peripheral areas of the Moravian-Silesian Region. The event built directly on the outcomes of the previous Co-creation Workshop in Slovenia, transforming analytical findings and shared visions into concrete pilot planning. Representatives of the Regional Authority, KODIS and transport experts collaborated in a structured co-creation process. Participants jointly reviewed public transport accessibility analyses and aligned them with national and regional strategic objectives.

The workshop focused on identifying realistic and sustainable solutions for sparsely populated areas. Different service scenarios were evaluated and compared in detail. As a result, Demand-Responsive Transport (DRT) was confirmed as the preferred pilot solution. Core development principles and priorities for the DRT pilot were defined. Measurable objectives and key performance indicators were established. The meeting concluded with the preparation of a draft action plan for implementing the pilot in the Osoblažsko region, marking an important step toward flexible and innovative mobility solutions in Central Europe.
