Hybrid
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Date: 23.09.2025

On Tuesday, 23 September 2025, from 15:00 to 18:00 (CEST), under the guidance of the Director-General for Agriculture and Rural Development, the 2025 EU Organic Awards Ceremony will take place at Berlaymont 149 Rue de la Loi, Brussels, Belgium, with the possibility to join remotely.

The aim of the competition is to reward and encourage projects developed by actors across the organic value chain that demonstrate excellence, innovation, sustainability, and inspiration, while creating real added value for organic production and consumption.

It all began in March 2021, when the European Commission adopted the Action Plan for the Development of Organic Production, recognising organic farming as a key driver of Europe’s green transition. Now in its fourth edition, the EU Organic Awards seek to highlight best practices and encourage new initiatives that foster the growth of the organic sector across the Union.

Participation was open to actors and institutions from all parts of the organic value chain within the EU. To be eligible, projects had to be EU-based, submitted in one of the official EU languages, and designed to improve the affordability and accessibility of organic products. The jury assessed applications according to four main criteria: the excellence and innovative character of the project, its contribution to environmental, social and economic sustainability, and its potential to be transferred or replicated in other parts of the Union.

The finalist are:

The winners will be officially recognised during the ceremony in Brussels, which will gather representatives from the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, the European Economic and Social Committee, the Committee of the Regions, COPA-COGECA, and IFOAM Organics Europe. In addition to receiving their awards, the winners will have the opportunity to present their projects to a broad European audience, demonstrating how their initiatives are shaping the future of organic production and consumption.
