Drive2Transform Consortium Meeting in Katowice

In Person
Location: Katowice, Poland
Date: 16.03.2026 - 18.03.2026

The Drive2Transform consortium will gather in Katowice, Poland, from 16 to 18 March 2026 for its upcoming project meeting, hosted by KSSE / Silesia Automotive & Advanced Manufacturing. Partners from all nine project regions across eight countries are expected to join a three-day programme combining a multilateral BSO capacity building workshop, consortium work package sessions, and a strategic workshop focused on the future of the partnership.

The meeting will begin with a guided visit to Nikiszowiec, the historic coal mining district that offers a unique insight into Upper Silesia’s industrial heritage. On the second day, the consortium will kick off with a hybrid training session where partner institutions will present their organisational approaches and regional strategies for automotive transformation. This will be followed by dedicated sessions covering the further development of the Readiness Index and regional transformation roadmaps (WP1), the preparation of upcoming events including Policy Forum #2 and the international conference in Linz (WP2), as well as an in-depth presentation of Silesia Automotive’s cluster activities. A guided tour through modern Katowice will highlight the city’s impressive transition from an industrial hub to a vibrant cultural and business centre—closely aligned with the Drive2Transform mission.

The third day will focus on international use cases and cross-regional collaboration within WP3, followed by a forward-looking workshop organised by TechBase Regensburg with support from Hochschule Pforzheim. This session will explore how the consortium can sustain and further strengthen its collaboration beyond the project’s duration, addressing established formats and services as well as emerging priorities such as electrification, autonomous driving, connectivity, and the platform economy.

The consortium looks forward to welcoming all partners to Katowice and anticipates inspiring discussions, valuable exchanges, and new impulses for future cooperation.

Looking ahead, an active spring programme is planned, including the Driving Innovation webinar series, Policy Forum #2 on 24 March, additional capacity building sessions, and preparations for the Drive2Transform international conference in Linz. Further details on all upcoming activities will be shared via the project website and partner channels.
